Note: The below list provides an overview of various television networks which have carried Kentucky games in the past.
This is not comprehensive, as at times games were televised locally and in some cases by multiple outlets, in particular in the early days of television. In those cases, the games are grouped as Local, Regional or National TV. In addition, in some cases the games were televised tape-delayed.
The first known televised Kentucky game was a game on December 18, 1948 between UK and St. Johns in Madison Square Garden. The game was televised locally on WCBS. The first known nationally televised game was also against St. John's, televised by NBC the day before Christmas on December 23, 1950.
Eventually more details lists will become available as information is collected, including the identity of play-by-play, color commentators and sideline reporters become better known. Information which is available can be viewed on individual boxscores for the time being. Please check the following list of games for which the television coverage is unknown.
