Sam Schoenfeld Dies, Basketball Referee
NEW YORK, March 2 (UP) - Sam Schoenfeld, well-known basketball referee, died today at Long Island Hospital after an illness of several months. He was 49 years old.
Schoenfeld, who officiated basketball games for 25 years, is survived by his widow, Miriam, and three sons, Robert, Peter, and Dward. He also is survived by his mother, Sarah Schoenfeld, two brothers, Herman and Jack, and a sister, Jean Kirschbaum.
