Obituary - Louisville Courier-Journal (October 14, 1977)
George Massie Gividen Sr., 73, of 10501 Bardstown Road, died at 5:50 p.m. Wednesday at National Health Enterprises-Louisville.
He was a native of Pensacola, Fla., and a retired salesman at the Electrolux Corp.
Survivors include his wife, the former Edith Hootman; two sons, George M. Gividen Jr. of Coppers Cove, Tex., and Robert H. Gividen of Mobile, Ala.; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at McAfee Funeral Home, 3928 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Evergreen Mausoleum.
The body will be at the funeral home after noon Friday.
The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
